WELL, WHAT A RESULT
at the World-renown Calgary Stampede!!!
An all-time record for a breed!!

all before them.
• Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion Carcass.

(So 6 out of the top ten were SP's from only 12 head
• They marbled an incredible AAA40 average and had dressing percentages up to a phenomenal 73% ,YES 73% THEY AVERAGED an amazing 68%.
The Speckle Park breed certainly took the wind out of the sails of not only the Angus once again, but all the other so called superior carcass cattle Limo's ,Charolais etc etc.
That's 7 out of the last 12 years at the "Stampede" the winning carcass and or taste & tenderness Champions have been Speckle Parks a feat only other breeds could dream of.
Congratulations to all the boys in Canada for a job well done with a very limited number of steers to work with.
Speckle Parks have stamped themselves as being the leaders in carcass cattle. This result comes hot on the heals of the great result in Australia with the Grand Champion Carcass at Bega, last month at only the breeds 3rd outing in the country.
That steer also created a record, scoring an incredible 94 points, the highest since the inception of the new scoring system.
The amount of interest in the breed world wide is growing at a very rapid rate particularly at the commercial end. The breeders here in Canada are justifiably over the moon with these results and are going to "party" for a few days to come yet.
